McInerney Holdings plc is recognised as a leading home builder providing quality built homes in each of its markets. We have business divisions operating in Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom. McInerney's strategy is based on seeking to deliver a strong financial and unit output performance and to continually seek avenues for potential growth. The Group is Ireland's largest national home builder and a regional home builder in the North and Midlands of the UK. In Ireland and the UK, we are firmly focused on our core markets of first time buyers offering a comprehensive range of housing products within an attainable and affordable price range. This product range includes three and four bed detached and semi detached houses; two and three bed terraced homes as well as apartments offering a variety of floor sizes.
We currently have over 80 sites across our markets - these are regionally spread and are positioned to benefit our operational and growth strategies.
The Group has a leisure development division offering luxury properties in the Marbella region of Spain and a commercial division, Hillview Developments which specialises in providing business units in the greater Dublin and London areas. An additional element of our construction business includes developing local authority housing, hospitals, hotels, retail centres and other infrastructural projects of this nature.
Business Model
In the current challenging market circumstances, our business model is structured to focus on cash generation and collection. It is geared to maximise unit output and utilise capital to maximise effectiveness. In practice this means we forward sell housing product and thus do not speculatively build, this is combined with a fast turnaround of product already purchased on sites. Our housing product in the main is aimed at new entrants to the market looking for a fine quality starter home. While housing markets are currently in slowdown, our product is matched to natural demand which is supported by demographics in our key markets.
